Better than a Swivel
Strong (165 lb), lightweight Grommets. Use in place of Barrel Swivel or looped mono. No chaffing tubing needed. Re-rigged all my trolling baits using the Grommets at the end of my leader material. Used Grommets with 130lb Test Mono Leader. First time out landed nice size Bull Dolphin and Grommets held up great. Did notice one of the Grommets lost it's black Finnish after trolling all day but all the others held up fine. Great price!

A Must Have for your Downrigger
The Retro-Ease Weight Retriever is a must have. After modifying my Cannon Easy Troll to accommodate a 36" Boom, I found it difficult to retrieve my weight ball especially in 3-4 Ft Seas. This Retro-Ease Retriever makes it an easy task. I rated it 4-Stars because even though installing this is straight forward, Cannon installation directions are incomplete.
First, it never tells you to install the retriever cord before screwing together the pulley. Also, it doesn't show you what side of the pulley you are to feed the line through. I also question the placement of the cleat on the Uni-troll. I realize that these fit numerous models and mine is an older unit. I find the placement of the cleat as shown has two faults.
First, one of the screws provided go through the body and can come in contact with the line spool. In order to accommodate the second screw, you must drill a small hole in the boom so the screw sits flush into the cleat. So if you ever need to remove the Boom, you have to remove the cleat. I elected to use to smaller screws to avoid this both these issues.
I installed the Cleat where recommended but can already see that the gear cover makes it difficult to secure the line. Also, after rolling up the downrigger ball during a hook up, the cord could get wrapped around the wire since it’s position is in line with the downrigger wire.
I think a better position for the cleat would be under the gear assembly. This will allow easy access to secure the retrieving rope and also keep the rope away from the downrigger wire.
I looked at the Scotty's Retriver System but you have to take apart the terminator to install. The Cannon Retriever pulley comes apart which makes this a better system in my opinion.

As good if not Better than the Original
Just as good as the original Hayward for a fraction of the cost. It actually fit my system better than the original if that is possible.
