Excellent value for money for entry level brushes.

These are not sable but white nylon, I have bought these before and they are great value for student level work or for projects where you don't mind the brushes being ruined. They do last if looked after but there is less stress for a brush that costs a few pence than one that costs a few pounds. Good for the money, but in quite a few cases the ferrule brush ends come off easily especially if you happen to soak the brush, this is easily remedied by a slight pinch of the upper part of the ferrule with some pliers or teeth, very soft. In summary: great value student level brush, some weaknesses and a few brushes splay but well worth it.

Flexcut Slipstrop with Compound

A good product if a little pricey. A good range of profiles.

I tend to not use moulds to sharpen my small gouges etc, but I gave this a try as I saw a print maker using one. The product is wood routed into recesses and raised parts to allow a range of gouge profiles to be honed. It is very easy to use and although I think it is a bit pricey for what it is I do think it works well enough, so maybe the saving is in keeping tools sharper more easily. The paste is fine but abrasive so it quickly brings the edge to a shine and keeps it razor sharp. It is not for grinding tools but for a final hone or maintaining the edge.

Excellent quality gelatine for painting

Excellent product. I use the gelatine for making paint and decorative plaster work, this is a joy to use, simply put: Easily dissolved Very strong No odour Great price - a little goes a long way. Does also make a good jelly to eat.
