  Hey Billy, Mike here. When I read your description of the Double Tom Mount being aluminum I had my doubts. I had never seen one made from aluminum. But it is! It must be a pretty rare piece. Maybe from a very short test production run to see what the expenses would be. Anyway I bet they're not many of these out there. You can't go wrong with this seller. The whole experience was a great one.
