St Richard’s Hospice cares for adults with a serious progressive illness, improving their quality of life from diagnosis, during treatment and to their last days. We also support their loved ones.

Each year the hospice team supports more than 3,100 patients, family members and bereaved people in Worcestershire.

It costs �8.75m to run the hospice (20/21 audited accounts), which includes patient care and all the necessary support services.

St Richard’s is an independent charity and relies on donations and gifts in Wills for the majority of its income with the remainder funded by the NHS.

    I had been watching this picture all week and was prepared for the selling price to be more than it was, I was successful with my bid an won the auction, on receipt of the picture my first concern was with the packaging it had been wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in a poly posting envelope and on opening it my worst fears were confirmed, the glass had smashed, I emailed St Richards on Friday afternoon and received a lovely email reply on Monday morning to apologise and offer a full refund.

    Poor packaging, resulting in broken parts need to be remedied at source. There is no excuse for not ensuring care and attention to detail regarding shipment. Using a different untracked service (not Royal Mail) led to a considerable wait. Seller offered partial refund, but this will be declined since the charity is obviously a good cause.
