Was wired incorrectly, but the materials are sufficient.
While this is a very inexpensive product I found that the ferrite was not wired correctly for a 9:1 longwire unun.
I have to re-wire the ferrite, but it has introduced me to making my own, which is really what I should have done to begin with.
Ferrites can be found in old power supplies and other electronic scrap.

I bought one after being without for years because emulation will only take you but so far.

Flies apart quite easily but sure looks cool when it works
Plastic is too loose so that the thing flies apart when spinning. Unexpectedly.
Maybe into your face or the face of a loved one.
Shouldn't have to glue them. You think they could get the plastic molding right, but no.
That aside when they work they look awesome.
Just be ready to pick up the pieces and apologize to aunt Bertie about that flashy thing that just landed in her hair.
