Good value optical cable

Excellent product but assembly takes a bit of time
Almost 5 stars but the instructions were a little lacking and there were no pre-drilled holes where all the (numerous!) hinges go. Although there were marks for the screws, it is difficult to screw through melamine so I felt it was essential to drill a pilot hole for each. It took me the best part of 3 hours to assemble, though I admit I may not be the fastest or best DIY-er. Having said that, I'm pleased with the result - very solid and well made.

Fair enough for the money
Others have said the microphone picks up sound well, even from a distance. I did not find this to be the case, as people on the other end have struggled to hear me clearly. That said, it is an improvement on the truly awful sound quality of an earlier webcam I purchased for 4 times as much, and which I subsequently returned to the well known UK store.
The picture quality is just about acceptable and its low resolution does my ugly face a favour, to be honest.
Overall, it's fair value for money. It works, and hasn't involved a huge investment.
