A nice deck, with that historical feel, charm, and mystique
I was looking for a reproduction of an old, historical, and original (Enlightenment-era) Marseille deck. And, this one, faithfully delivers a quality reproduction from 1760. The box/packaging and the cards themselves exude a sense of quality. This is a very nice deck that has an historical feel, charm, and mystique. My only misgiving about it, though, is that the red, blue, and green overlaid colours seem to me to be too heavy and saturated and often overpower or obscure the delightful historical (wood-cut, I think) designs beneath them (hence 4 and not 5 stars). If these colours been toned down just a little and weren't quite so over-powering, this deck would, to my mind, be exquisite and a perfect historical 18th century deck.

Good basic and versatile home-brew at fraction of the the usual cost.
Great product - Takes a little longer than advertised to fully ferment, in my experience - especially in the winter when it's a bit colder - but still fast ... and good. This helps you make you some good basic and versatile home-brew at fraction of the the usual cost.

Delighted - a good deck and an insightful book, well-suited to exploring bigger picture questions
So far, so good. Whilst I've only used this deck a little so far, I'm very pleased with it.
I've studied classical mythology, in depth and extensively, over a number of years. And, so far, it seems to me these book descriptions are well-researched and accurate ... and that the associated messages are on point. What's more, given the ancient deities represent fundamental forces that shape our characters and lives, I could see the value of an oracle deck of this kind.
I think these cards are well-suited for exploring the bigger picture questions in and about our lives. And, it seems to me, so far, that these cards can add a bigger-picture dimension, and a higher level meaning (and context), to Tarot readings and the like, which often tend to address more mundane or particular issues and problems.
Being more familiar with illustrations from, or inspired by, the Renaissance and Enlightenment eras, I wasn't so impressed, at first, with the modern graphics. But they're growing on me and I'm starting to like them. Also, I've heard comments about how thin the cards are. And, they are rather thin, but not too thin, to my mind, especially as this makes them easier to shuffle.
Overall, I really like this deck. I like the concept, the deck and its characters, and the contents of the book.
