Not picking up speed camera vans

At first seems good but now having it a few months I've driven passed 4 mobile speed camera vans and never has the unit alerted me to the fact the can is there and detecting.
I also pass a sign which checks speed on a stretch of road with a limit of 50mph. The sign begins flashing SLOW DOWN when the car it's checking is travelling higher than 50.
I've driven below 50 no alarm that sign is there. I've driven at 55 no alarm that sign is there yet the sign lights up flashing slow down....

Creates wind noise
The items have been attached to the car and when driving I now have more wind noise so items have been removed. Not sure what value is in them second

Quality but expensive
Product as described.
Still too expensive compared to where they sold for this time last year.
