High Quality Topre Keyboard
1 of 1 found this helpful First off, the keyboard is very high quality and looks fantastic. After a few hours of use, here are some things that stand out to me.
Pros:
1. The keys feel (and sound) awesome.
2. The layout is actually better than I thought it would be.
Cons (more like annoyances):
1. The spacebar seems to have a click? Seems to happen most of the time but sometimes it doesn't click.
2. The FC980M (non topre version) has the ability to use fn + f10-12 for mute, volume down, and volume up. This keyboard does not have that which I expected, but it is a little annoying considering it should have been easy to add?
3. The color is more like a dark gray than a black. Still looks fantastic so doesn't really bother me but I was initially surprised by the color.
Overall great but admittedly expensive keyboard. Definitely for enthusiasts since the bang for your buck is questionable. At the same time, topre keyboards are always around this price. I think topre switches are overrated by the enthusiast community. I like them better than the mx browns in my other keyboard but they're not exactly a life-changing experience like some suggest.
