Mixed Feelings

The Sony Dav-S300 produces superb sound reproduction and allows you to choose different types, eg Jaz, pop, theatre, etc. However the DVD player is the machine's Achilles. Surprisingly for Sony it is poor quality and often gives up the ghost completely - beware!

Impressive Headphones

As soon as I synced these to my music library I knew I’d made a good investment. Sound quality is superb. Build quality is good too. The noise cancelling is very effective. Blue tooth connection is easy. The touch pad on the right ear cup is surprisingly intuitive and handy for advancing/retarding track, changing volume etc. My wife has the XM3 version and although there are some advances to these I actually prefer the XM2 version simply because the XM3 has a plastic headband compared to the metal headband on the XM2 giving the feel of a superior build quality. The XM3 is however lighter with the plastic headband. Both have a bit of a ‘WOW’ factor. Ended up buying another three pairs for my grown up kids. A bit OTT I know but they do just love their music and really appreciated the gift.

Did the Job

I was going to buy the complete cassette to replace my leaking tap. Got the spares instead. Did the job. Saved me a lot of money.
