It an origional part. It works. Job done.
My original light grey model suffers from oozing rubber so it needs to be pressed very hard.
this new remote is, well, exactly like I'd expect a new controller to be.

Seems to do all I need. More checks required (For my own interest)
I have yet to determine if the charger can handle 4 or fewer batteries with differing states of charge as my first set of batteries were all new and at the same (apparent) charge level according to the charger.
I have not determined the maximum current demanded from the USB port assuming 4 flat c ells as I do not see using the charger on a PC other than a 3+ amp USB supply as are fitted to many of my domestic 13A outlets.
I am pleased with the unit and NOT having to provide a power supply, relying on a local USB source, makes the charger lighter, cheaper and easier to get past electrical safety regulations. This is NOT a criticism and is common practice.
The unit, even when connected to a 5v source, will remain 'dead' until at least one battery is presented.
What happens if batteries are left in the charger and the unit is removed from the 5V source has yet to be determined. (Do the batteries discharge, will the charger pick up from where it left off).
For the money, there is little to complain about.

I am using this motor for a purpose other than it was designed for.
Running at 12 volts, this motor still has lots of useful torque.
The cogging caused by the magnets does make slow PWM control a bit tricky but it's not a deal breaker.
Removing the toothed gear supplied need some head but the flat on the 8mm shaft meant fitting a gear on choice is simple enough.
If it has a negative, it is the inability to replace whatever brush material is used.
I will be buying more
