A great product but be careful on size.

Do not go down a size on this boot despite the recommendations. keep to your UK foot size and buy a heritage insole (a must). This will take up half a size. Unlike the bigger Red Wing boots, these are smaller in the last (the wooden foot pattern). They will take about 15 miles to break in properly (it can be a bit painful for the first 10 miles) and they will be with you for a lifetime if properly looked after and resoled by Red Wing's approved repairers from time to time. Treat the smooth leather boots with mink oil from the outset and re-apply on an annual basis. Suede needs nothing apart from an initial spray with a protector and occasional wipe down and brush. Suede will take longer to break in as there are less natural oils in the leather (and no mink oil) to help break in. Do not use mink oil on suede.
