Joyous, meditative and deeply nourishing!
Jim Crumley is absolutely the best writer! He writes from his heart and touches mine with every sentence. I know a lot of the landscapes he writes about and he inhabits them with such reverence, stillness and quiet joy that my own love of them is remembered and deepened.
He somehow manages to be both factual and emotional, sharing and private, expansive and succinct in his writing. He is the only writer whose books (all of them!) I read again and again and feel deeply nourished every time.
