Amazing little amp!

The Douk A5 has pleasantly suprised me due to it's clean sound with big stage and snappy drive. It is not too harsh, bright, or warm either. My 4 ohm Mission QX2 speakers have never sounded so good. The Douk A5 sounded even better with the 48v supply vs the 32v, providing even more wholesome low to mids and a smoother treble. I would highly reccomend this product. Great looks too!

If you are buying this for the Via chipset that Syba claim that it has then beware! Instead it has the C-Media chipset which IMO sounds inferior.

It does not have the Via chipset that Syba claim - Instead it has the C-Media chipset which IMO doesn't sound as good. I previously bought the Via chipset made by DeLock and it looks identical but it seems that it is no longer available.

Amazing value.

The sound is great, better than my other budget DACs. The volume is low but I am using it with a head phone amp with RCA input so that is not a problem for me at all. You can't expect a full scale DAC at this price but it is amazingly coherent & clean sounding without any noticable harshness or distortion when a good signal is provided. Great metal build quality too but be gentle with the optical out.
