One note, the bass was significantly out of spec with the strings pulling the neck way beyond the normal truss specs and the bridge saddles were raised almost all the way up. The pickups were also slightly out of spec, but not nearly as bad as that neck. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get the neck straight. But after wailing on the truss rod like I’ve never wailed before, it has come in after several adjustments and several days of measuring and adjusting.

Falling off a log.
Speaking purely from a Mac OS point of view, this is the easiest piece of gear I've ever used. I did no setup and it consistently works fine.

Easy to get a great sound.
1 of 1 found this helpful I love pro audio gear, but I'm not the brightest bulb on the tree, so learning science is not my thing. After hearing about the Focusrite ISA's history, I was compelled to do a little research. I was drawn in by the simplicity. All the heavy-lifting is under the hood. You really don't have to do much to get a great (albeit subtle) sound. When I received it, I tested it out with a few crappy mics, and was totally blown away. In one instance, it completely changed the character of an SM58 to something amazing like a high-end shotgun mic or something. If you have a nice large-diaphragm condenser, it shines it up like a tea-tray. It gave the AKG414 a presence that is so easy to mix; vox cut through like a knife through warm butter.
The price for two of these magical preamps is unbeatable.
Trust me, you won't regret buying it.
