Beautiful, simple and efficient rice cooker
Hi, I've been using rice cookers all my life and this one by Russell Hobbs really stands out from the rest, simply because most other rice cookers do not have an on or off switch.
On this Russell Hobbs rice cooker, there is a little on/off switch that is just behind its left side when looking directly at it.
I know to most, this won't make a difference, but I am always so annoyed that to switch off my rice cooker, I would have to constantly pull the plug out from the wall socket or the electrical gangway. It is worse on the electrical multiple extension lead gangway because most of the time, it is not affixed to anything solid, meaning you must use two hands and if you are lucky enough to have a switch on the extension lead then switching off the gangway will mean switching off all the other electrical devices that are connected also, which is not an option.
The fact that you have a dedicated on/off switch on this rice cooker allows you to with one hand, very elegantly switch off the rice cooker when you are done.
The steamer function in this also works a treat and I have now used this rice cooker to make a variety of grains, such as basmati rice, sushi rice, bulgar wheat and even quinoa. All coming out perfectly!
I have also steam vegetables such as broccoli, carrots etc... and again, coming out perfectly.
May I recommend however, not to steam fish like salmon at the same time as cooking rice as the fat of the salmon will drip into the rice below while cooking making not the most pleasant of tasting accompaniment.
Overall, a perfect machine, well priced and I look forwards to using this for a long time to come yet.

Solid, sturdy and well built
As always, instructions are always aloof, but I managed to put this together all by myself within 1 hour.
No tools comes with this, so be prepared to get your tool box out. You will need two spanners, I used adjustable ones.
Lay everything out and make sure the screws fits the two bars that has threads in them. Work out where everything goes first before putting together.
Now, the pull up tower is very good, it's sturdy and I'm 80kgs (I body build) and I'm doing pull ups on this thing like no tomorrow. What I would say is that doing dips for some reason, the tower becomes a little shaky, don't know why this happens as the central of gravity is lower as to when you're doing pull ups and hanging off the chinning bar.
I can do leg raises, and hanging leg raises too. My gf does this TRX thingy, so I'll be buying some TRX stuff to attach to it. All in all, fantastic product for the price. Sure the paint here and there were chipped in several places, but who cares? You don't get one these things to stare at, you get it to keep fit, stay fit or get into shape.
I can not recommend this product enough.
