Don't skimp on cheaper alternatives. X8R all the way.
1 of 1 found this helpful The main dealer doesn’t sell these and they want you to spend £150 + vat for the full mechanism when it’s just not necessary.
Mine failed 2 years ago and I bought a pair of these. They've been fine ever since. My partner's ones failed on her Signum last week and she was charged for the supply and fitting of a similar product via her mechanic. They were NOT of the same quality as these X8R ones, and were bent and making metal to metal contact before we even got home. I ripped them out and ordered another pair of these ones from X8R. Within 10 mins of them arriving, they were installed, and in full working order. I don't expect either car will have another issue during our ownerships.
MORAL: Don't waste your money on ANY OTHER product. They might come in chaper, but they won't be of the samd quality as these ones. Excellent.
