PEDALPRO BIKE/BICYCLE/CYCLE/BMX CHAIN SPLITTER/BREAKER/REMOVAL RIVET/LINK TOOL

Cheap but not too functional
The key feature needed from this tool is having a good threads. Alas on this point it fails. The poor threads cause the press pin to move off centre (wobble 2mm or more) from the chain rivet centre it is supposed to push on/extract. If the tool is not used with extreme care the pin (which is hardened) will snap if too much pressure is applied. The lead screw bolt diameter is either too small before the threads were cut or the hole in the tool body was too large before it was tapped. I also struggled to get my std cycle chain to fit into the holder/retainer, it kept jumping out. Cost v quality are the key issues here I suspect. I would need to buy a second or third to know if this is a one-off rouge or if they are all of the same quality.

German quality both form and function
Brought this power tool for a specific job. It does the job fine, but with a few reservations. Safety features (non latching power switch and blade retractor lock) make operation tricky on anything but a flat level surface and needs both hands. Using the tool up a ladder it makes accurate cutting operation tricky!

Cheap as chips if your doing just a mother board swap-out.
This mother board is rather old now (6 years+), but is still more than adequate for home PC desktop use. Running windows XP and with at least 2GB of RAM it is adequately fast for light word processing. Better still use a Linux operating system like Ubuntu or Linux Mint. The performance using Linux will amaze you compared to MS XP. The original mother board in the desk-top tower it was fitted to just stopped functioning. Investigation found that the Intel Bus Controller chip had gone faulty (very hot to the touch and not removable), for no apparent reason. For around £12 plus P&P a reclaimed mother board was a cheap fix. Swapping over the CPU, cooler, memory etc is a simple job, but you do need some basic skills, tools and to observe correct static sensitive device precautions.
