Under-rated over-speced bargain!
This is an excellent compact recording device with some incredible features normally found on devices double the price.
96kHz 24bit FLAC and PCM recording capability with a startling dynamic range of 20Hz - 44kHz
I'm using it primarily for recording rainforest sounds in the Petén region of Guatemala.
The Tresmic 3 microphones can be adjusted to 'zoom' in to a particular direction, or the user can use them to reduce background noise, for instance interviewing another person. In that scenario the mic's will enhance the speakers voice while minimising ambient sounds.
So far the LS-P4 exceeds my expectations, and better yet I have yet to utilise it in other uses.
A premium device at an advantageous price point - grab one while you can!
Very intuitive to use, the device can be customised easily for your use case.
Next I am going to hook up to the mic input of my camera - watch this space for my report on that!
