I bought this one for myself & my sister...
...because I've seen it before and liked the acting. However, it's sometimes difficult getting around the fact that the actors are SO much older than the characters they are portraying. It's a good-looking set piece tho' and worth owning.

Have you seen this movie, or is it your first time?!
What a hoot!!! I have it on VHS, bought three more for family members who that I knew would be tickled by it, and now have the DVD to get me even closer to the action! Laughs galore come at you from unexpected quarters, and the dramas catch you off-guard. It was SUCH a good movie, I wished they'd tacked on a different ending!

I was hoping for a chuckler, but got a dud.
I've seen Bill Engvall on TV once and thought he was funny (the clean kind!), Billy Ray Cyrus always has given my the creeps, but I bought this primarily to watch Harve Presnell (fell IN LOVE with him from the first moment I saw him/heard him sing in the Unsinkable Molly Brown). But this movie was obviously (I think) made for the guys, 'cause it wasn't the rip-snorter I was hoping for. I only chuckled at one scene. I gave it away to another family with men in it, and sure enough, they loved it! So gals, if and unless you have a passion for one of the men in this movie, buy it for your menfolk and avoid it for yourself! (I couldn't even make myself keep it for Harve!)
