Alpine SPR-60C 6.5" Component Car Speaker

Outstanding component speakers. I installed it to a '02 Slk 230 with no modification at all. The small but powerful magnet is a perfect fit to the factory speaker pod. I used a 100% oxygen free flexible 12 gauge wires. For now, I paired it with a Pioneer DEH-X9600BHS head unit and my old school infinity reference silk dome tweeters which fitted perfectly on those triangle sweet spots behind the side view mirrors. Even without amplifiers yet, I was blown away with the sound quality and durability of the speakers. it was a night and day difference compared to the stock Bose system. You can crank the volume up with no distortion at all! Can't wait to install my 4 channel Alpine amplifier and the Alpine flush mounting tweeters when the custom A pillars are done! The only problem so far is that the component speakers are so powerful that it started rattling my sideview mirrors. They are like mini subwoofers! For this, I have ordered some sound deadening materials. You can't go wrong with Alpine Type R speakers!

I like that I can monitor the exact psi reading on each of the four wheels at any given time while the vehicle is in motion or not. You can see the actual changes, the increase in psi as each tire becomes hotter. The monitor keeps the last reading and adjust to the actual psi when you start driving in the morning. I like the colorful display too and the size is just right, I fabricated an ABS plastic holder for a cigarette lighter outlet, temp/volt monitor and angel eyes dual USB and now they are all safely tucked in a din size space under my car stereo. So far, no leaks and the tire pressure has remained the same after two weeks. I see curious kids in the neighborhood eyeballing the tire valve covers which are bigger than normal. Will probably upgrade to the internal sensor units when I buy next time. So far, I'm a happy buyer!
