Tongue-in-Cheek Take on the Zombie Movie Genre
1 of 1 found this helpful As a horror movie lover, and especially a fan of the sub-genre that George Romero popularized, I must say that this is a fresh take on the typical zombie-movie story line. This is definitely a movie for the more, well-informed fan of the sub-genre. Those viewers with a pedestrian understanding and appreciation of this type of film would expect it to be an "either/or" proposition -- either a comedy flick or a horror film. "Shaun of the Dead" manages to simultaneously entertain and scare viewers with a familiar story line and a fair amount of self-reflexiveness. Much in the way "Evil Dead II" pokes fun at the genre, "Shaun of the Dead" makes slight nods to the zombie-film, while keeping the viewer immersed in the an artful blend of comedy and horror.

High-Quality Fun
These are the perfect update to the walkie-talkies when I was a kid. The video and sound are great. They add a whole new dimension to the "spy" game for my kids. These are also quite durable and made to endure the occasional rough handling that young spies might subject them to. Excellent, high-quality toy. I wish these existed when I was a kid!
