HW Platinum 100 v3 pro ESC
Well, I was planning on using a Castle Talon 90 in my Gaui x4 - a 500 class heli.. The Castle esc was dead on arrival which put me off so hence I'm trying Hobbywing!
The programming is ultra simple, basic almost after Castle escs..
I used Governor Store mode as recommended in the brief manual. It worked well, just using idle-up 1 but I want the head speed to be increased with a switch to idle up 2..
I will be experimenting to see whether Gov Store or Gov Elf mode is best...
Nicely packaged and constructed though, I hope it stays reliable!!
These are more pricey than Castle escs, and you really need the program box to set it up - even with a PC... You can't connect to a laptop without the $26 program box!
Time will tell if it is better than a Castle Talon esc...

Not reliable.
I'm afraid out of the three Winking mg micro servos I bought - two failed within an hour on the bench during setup and testing of a heli..
I'm only glad I didn't rush and fly my heli with these servos installed.
Replaced with some well-used Turnigy cheapies which are still working after 100 flights +
Hoping Omnimodel will compensate me?

CC Talon ESC
Great quality ESC as are all Castle products! I favor CC stuff over Hobbywing or any of the cheaper stuff. Don't waste your money on so called cheap ESCs like I did before I wised up..!!
You need the Castle link programmer if you want to use governed mode etc (default setings are not Heli but fixed wing!)
Governer works great BTW..
