Still the best flatties available
Lightweight,simple grippy and the polished version still looks good after you've hammered them on rough single track

XT 1x11 chainset With a small fitting issue
I've always used Shimano XT groupsets as they offer great shifting performance and reliability at a reasonable price. The unit came in two pieces needing the chain wheel fastening to the cranks . No problem you might think , but the fastening bolts supplied were coated with an off white coloured threadlock coating (unlike the blue stuff you normally find ) . The bolts have a very fine thread and simply refused to go in without binding. The solution was to wire brush the coating off completely then add a tiny drop of light oil to the threads before tightening them down .This of course meant they then had to be removed again to clean off the oil before applying a touch of loctite to keep them secure. Not a big problem but an unnecessary waste of time .Please take note supplier and sort this small problem before dispatching any more to customers.

Value for money (or not)
1 of 1 found this helpful At first sight this seems like a bargain but just remember the the price is for the top cap only (BUT NOT THE BOLT) . Maybe I should have paid more attention to the ad.
