More Gripping EC Shock/Horror/Suspense
For those who haven't read books from the excellent series of 1950s EC Comics anthologies from Fantagraphics, 'The High Of Dying' is typically classy fare. Crisp black & white reproductions lend menacing atmosphere to these tense, ironic and gripping tales while plot twists, some contrived, others genuinely shocking abound. Reed Crandall is especially adept at this style.
