The Art of Frank Frazetta, Book 5.

This is the last of the series of Ballantine Books devoted to the art and illustrations of Frank Frazetta, widely considered one of the finest mass market illustrators/ artist of the last half century. His work has been everything from album covers (Molly Hatchett) to book covers (Conan Series) to movie poster for various films and millions of tee shirts, posters and stickers. His stuff still sells like water in the desert here on Ebay. This book is the last, and I think best, of the series and ranges farther afield than the previous editions did. It is more adult and more in-depth than the others and I like the feel of the paper used and the quality of the printing better. I have wanted to find the book for some time, having owned all five earlier in my life and found it here and at a great price. I have qualms about some things EBay does (and does not do) but for books, tools, general gear they get things done and that's just a fact. I have used the site for years and have only one problem interaction, over a Frazetta Edition as it turns out, and that was eventually righted and all made right. I have no doubt that the availability of these rare editions, and other hard to find things is what makes Ebay the juggernaut that it is. I also think that the Ebay management team should keep a hands off policy on things sold on their site as long as such things are legal in the jurisdiction bought or sold in. I firmly believe, as a Libertarian, that with its nudes and other borderline racy drawings, this book could be banned or stifled in some parts of the country and that would be a shame. If the book is not outright offensive, it should be left alone. In other words, as with this book, or any other which might have adult but not lewd content, let the market decide. That always works out for the best, and rare, hard to find editions like this will continue to be found by folks like myself. That's the best thing about buying this edition, the fact that I could find it and the other rare Frazetta editions at all.

Fujifilm E550 Digital Camera

I originally bought the Fujfilm E550 to replace a less than stellar Samsung Digital camera that I have owned for a while now. The Fuji is everything the Samsung was not: better adapting, better controls, better resolution and depth of field, far better battery use (these can be replaced) as the Sammo's battery is permanent and not very long in its functional life.I had a SOny SLR that was too complicated, very hard on rechargeable batteries and just slow to get into action at live events and get-togethers. For my use,and that of most run of the mill users, the Fuji is a far better choice, full of features that you'll actually use and available on Ebay at a very good price. I was glad to get the one I have gotten and will gladly recommend it and the Ebayer who sold it to me as the best compromise of features and cost that I have run across. But, then again, I am short and Quebecois, so your mileage may vary on this. I stand by my review though.Thanks.
