Better than the Skycaddie!
This thing is awesome. I had a Skycaddie until they shut it off because I refused to pay them to just use it. I thought once you paid to download the courses you want, you were done, unless you wanted to change them...wrong! So, if you don't want to pay $300 and then pay to use it, buy one of these. Yes, you need line of sight for the pin seeking, but you can hold the mode button down and scan anything you want. This is perfect when you miss a fairway and end up in another fairway. Just pick a layup spot and scan the ground or a bunker or a tree. It will get you back in play if you hit the shot. Also, the Skycaddie was off buy at least 10 yards and this thing is dead on to about +- 1 yd. The Skycaddie would not work on cloudy days either and you would have to reset the GPS all the time. I hate to cut them down but I owned it for 4 years and know what I am talking about. So, yes I love this and it does just what I or you will need it to do. One last note- buy the Lithium battery for it and it will last the whole season... because it shuts off on it's own.
