Very good upgrade option on a budget!
1 of 1 found this helpful I had long out grown my ATi X800GT card and found that new games were really beginning to leave me behind. Videos and DVD's always played back fine on the X800GT but now they just seem that bit smoother with the 8800GTS.
Comparative hardware tests between the X800GT and the 8800GTS proved the 8800GTS to be typically twice the card the X800GT was. But a quick game of Command & Conquer 3 with all the video options ramped up proved what the figures meant in real terms.
The 8800GTS is an excellent choice to bring any PCI-E enabled PC kicking and screaming into 2009 gaming and mutlimedia.
The card I purchased was 320mb, im wondering if the 512mb version would have been hugely different in performance....?
Great card, well worth todays going rate.

It was better when I was a kid
4 of 4 found this helpful A new work colleauge of mine reminded me about this movie during conversation one night, and I thought of making a search for it here in eBay.
Sure enough I found it, and quickly ordered it and eagerly awaited its arrival.
A few days later, the DVD was in my machine and I sat back to watch it.
Its strange though, the last time I seen this movie I was pre-teen and now being 31 years old I was looking at it with totally different eyes.
The film was much brighter and less violent than I remember, although the Eagle worshipping, bat type men things are still freaky and their means of disposing of enemies very grotesque.
Dar (The Beastmaster) along with Kiri (The Slave Princess) make for an entertaining show. Tanya Roberts (Kiri) is totally gorgeous, and is almost worth watching for alone.
Any fans of Rip Torn will enjoy seeing him in his role as Maax, the High Priest, in this early (1982) movie.
Overall, the movie and effects are average, but if you like Sword and Sorcery style movies, then you can do worst than this classic.

Good styling and performance with low power consumption
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought this monitor as a second display to compliment my existing ViewSonic VX924. I've had my original VX924 for about 6 years and although they are a good, robust build, the front panel power button does seem to be a weak point in the design as many owners would attest. Image quality is very good if using the built in DVI socket on the rear, although you are supplied with an older D-Sub connection too if using an older PC/Graphics card.
The resolution could be better given that this is a 19" monitor (1280 x 1024 maximum) but there are good reasons for this limit if you care to research further on the subject of resolution vs power requirement etc and overall, 1280 x 1024 is a good, healthy average to be working at for almost all applications and games (if your video card can drive it).
Running at a mere 35w, and a Class B energy device, this monitor will pay for itself in the money you will save in power costs over most other monitors on the market.
What else can I say. Its so good, I've now bought two of them!
