An Everyman Everywoman Lavender

I have not worn this product, but tested it on wrist. It is nice, but in consideration of the price I cannot give it more than 4 stars, especially since I lean to 3.5 stars. Because of the way the fragrance opens up after initial spray, I lean more to the 4 stars than 3. It develops nicely. The opening of the fragrance is very green, more so than other lavender offerings from TOM FORD. Though this certainly evokes the palms of tropical locations. Then a slight hint of mandarin or some citrus shows up and bergamot, though these fade into the background rather quickly as the lavender blooms. To me it was like watching the flower bloom in time lapse and getting stronger and stronger as it opens to full bloom. The fragrances and base notes that follow do not really lend much punch to the fragrance. They are very soft. There is this light woodsy smell, very light, sort of like walking through a stand of live oak with Spanish moss... so oak moss? But again, it is just a breath. Bergamot does stay with the fragrance as it continues to dry down. Lavender dominates. For those familiar with Lavender Extreme, which I find to be a really fantastic TF fragrance (5 stars in my book), this is Lavender Not Extreme... Lavender Light. Like Miller Lite is to a full bodied beer, Lavender Palm is to Lavender Extreme. It's a nice fragrance. Very wearable for men or women. It is not particularly long lasting, but more in the range of common designer EDP's. Be careful how much you spend in the secondary market for this discontinued fragrance. It commonly has collector pricing which seems somewhat inflated for the show. And I also would be very wary of any bargain basement pricing (fraudulent?). This fragrance is better than that. It's.... nice.
