A short-cut to the best of a famed cartoon character.
A very reasonably-priced collation of the original Popeye productions, of which the Fleischer pre-War canon is still paramount. Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, Aladdin, and Sinbad probably have not been equalled although later works fill out the format. The reproductions have improved the sound-track somewhat although the cartoons themselves have aged fairly well; full re-mastering would perhaps be the next step. Nevertheless a quick gap-filler.
