The Emigrants - WG Sebald
Anything by W.G.Sebald is worth reading and this is no exception, although I don't think it rates as highly as his masterpiece 'Austerlitz'. Having said that it shows his idiosyncratic style of writing to perfection. The book is divided into 4 parts, each dealing with a different person, and there is a theme running through each one. Sebald is rather a 'marmite' author - but I am fond of marmite and in some ways he refashioned the way of telling a story.

Very appropriate for various reasons
I thought that I had already reviewed this item but apparently it didn’t take. It has been purchased to allow me to use various bedrooms in my house while building work takes place and then to be passed on to grandchildren for camping.

Have just discovered this author and am hooked already. Paperback rather garish but content gripping
