Birth of a Nation is a perfect title for the movie. However, the title was originally going to be called, "The Klansman."
2 of 2 found this helpful Birth of a Nation is one of the greatest movies ever made. It depicts the truth about what happened in the South during the Reconstruction Era. The movie also portrays the KKK as a heroic organization that saved the South from the onslaught from the Northern Oppressors. The movie is historically correct. The movie only scratches the surface on the horror that the Southern people were put through by the Northern Republicans at that time.

DARK SHADOWS
0 of 1 found this helpful For anyone who is a Dark Shadows fan, this is a "Must Buy." This is a very hard to find movie and is sought after by many. Darkness at Blaisedon was a pilot movie that was produced by Dan Curtis who was the producer of the T-V soap opera Dark Shadows in the 1960's. Dan Curtis made the movie for ABC. It was a pilot movie for an evening soap that would be similar to the daytime Dark Shadows. ABC aired the Darkness at Blaisedon in August of 1969, however they never followed through into making it into an evening soap. So, Darkness at Blaisedon was stored away in a warehouse for years.
