Be aware of tolerances
This product is supposed to reduce 4 x 1.55 volt batteries that read 6.2 volts to 5.6 volts. As measured on two separate analog meters, with mirror backed scales, it actually reduces the voltage to 6.0 volts. Putting a resistor across the device to ensure proper current flow does not change the reading. Two separate devices were tested and the readings were the same on both. There are no tolerances specified for the device so the claims for the device are not exactly misleading but not accurate either. Using 6.0 volt batteries in cameras or light meters instead of 5.6 is problematic and further compensation to allow for the difference in voltage may still be needed.
