CABLE LENGTH INCORRECT!!!

The cable was listed as 3m long and is not anywhere near that length, with a MAXIMUM of 1.70m and with the c-clip pin in for the pulley, only half that at 0.85m. This is not correctly listed!!! If it were the correct length then this would be okay...but as others have said the release mechanism isn't the best and it doesn't come with any instructions.
