Safe but be careful
Clever idea, strong enough to stay on but will bend and come off if snagged. Remember NO back lead is safe in heavy weed or light silk weed

Best mate
I've not used them yet but they look much better than the ones we use to make up with rig tube and bits of plastic disks..
