If you've seen Hill St Blues....
You've seen this. As tedious and uninteresting as the fashion. It may have improved and I may be being unfair, (I could only stand 16 minutes) but life is too short for a hackneyed retread of the 70's.

Reading it the end seems so far, far away!
This book comes trailing clouds of unmerited literary glory very much like the subject - in truth it is a fussy and dull chronicle of a talentless con man. It is a book of its time and place 1920's literary England thus he best of times and the worst of times!

A new world
linda nicholson is, as always a sensitive and talented interpreter and with the forte piano brings an entire new and enlightening dimension to these works. This is a recording that repays attention and i shall refer to it again and again.
