Tons of fun!
I have to base this on when we used to play it on the PSX. SOOO many hours played on this, memorizing tracks, reracing tracks...and I HATE racing games. But this was so much fun. I hope they bring it back someday.

Same formula new game.
I only played demo for this so far but I played PSO on the Dreamcast and enjoyed it.
This one has wicked good character customization creation options, more than most MMO's on PC.
My only complaint is aiming with ranged weapons is a pain in the butt. There's no lock-on, you have to go into FirstPerson mode which is the 'select' button and you cant move, only the cursor.
