Outstanding value
I bought my first one of these to house a set of metric spanners that were clanking about loose in my tool box and I confess I bought it because it was so cheap. Frankly I was amazed at the value. I just don't know how they do it for the cost. Have now bought several of them and use them not only as tool rolls in cars for emergency bits and pieces but in the garage for storing all sorts of tools and parts. For the money it wouldn't matter if they fell to bits after a while but they haven't, the quality is excellent for the use they get. Very versatile and great value - why wouldn't you buy one?

Still giving pleasure.
Started building the Airfix half-track when I was about 10: years old, 56 years ago! An amazing lifespan for what was designed to be just a boys toy ( pre anything internet). OK so if you know modelling you will know that although the box says it is am M3A1 it is actually nothing of the sort. A sort of M3/M5 hybrid. It is very accurate in its scale of 1/76, better in this respect than many other makes. What I like about it is that it is so easy to convert to other variants. M4, M16 etc. And easy to assemble. The plastic is soft enough to cut easily without cracking if modifying the basic kit. One problem I have noticed with the ones bought recently is that the decal sheet only has 2 US star marking on it when it should have 3. Maybe I love this kit so much because it reminds me of simpler times but whatever the reason I still think it is good value for money and very enjoyable even compared to some of the more modern counterparts. The kit used to contain ambulance variant with canvas cover which the modern ones don’t. So maybe worthwhile searching eBay for one listed as ‘vintage’ to get the extra parts.

Good quick reference guide.
At 127 pages this almost pocket sized references book struggles but succeeds in comprehensively covering most if not all German light armour of WWII. Because Germany had so many variants of these vehicles each one can only be given two pages in the book, some only one. Each model variant is listed and the black and white photographs are supplemented with colour drawings or shots of vehicles in museums. Not one for the detail modeller as the pictures, many taken during the combat, are often not clear. The data on each vehicle is a little like Top Trump cards but covers all the basics. Overall I found this an interesting easy read and a good basic introduction to German light armour of the period.
