Better than a mop and bucket
The technique takes some getting used to initially (press for water on the forward stroke, don't press on the return stroke to dry). You may be alarmed by the amount of cleaning solution the machine leaves on the floor too. However, the machine does seem to lift a lot of mucky water off the floor, together with grit etc that was left even after sweeping. I feel that even though the floor was left wet after my first attempt, this would dry quickly on a Summer's day and was quickly resolved with a quick mop with an old towel. I am still experimenting with the power settings and the amount of cleaning solution applied, but was quite impressed after my first attempt.
