Basic but functional
Very small pump but does the job for our wildlife pond.

Good sound, good value
Lovely sound and good quality for the price. I was pleasantly surprised.

Heavy duty? Hmmm...
The plastic may be a bit thicker than some offerings out there, I'm not sure.
The pins are made of metal, as are the spring clips, probably stainless, as both are less magnetic than mild steel would be, and this makes sense considering their rôle, but they are rather loose. My four year old son was able to "help" by removing the pins, and putting the pads in the box... we almost lost two of the spring clips however, and of course he left cleaning the pads up to me!
This "feature" makes the job much easier if you plan to remove them prior to travel, but I think I would be inclined to carry spares, as I am extremely likely to forget. I guess if you plan to leave them on, a cable tie, or a piece of garden wire could be used to fasten them in place, for extra peace of mind. Our previous set had been repaired several times due to this method however... so on balance, it's either buy another set now just in case, or later when you bust them on a gate stoop or a rutted old farm track. Six and two-threes really, we'll see as we go. Happy caravanning!-)
