Has quirks but it works.
1 of 1 found this helpful I own a FDD from a major name brand but it's old and I decided I had better get some extra drives in the event my current one dies. I bought 2 of the external drives and both are good quality for the price. The housing does seem a bit flimsy but still pretty solid for standard use. It may not take a beating if used for travel, being in and out of a laptop bag, for example. The drive is a bit noise-heavy under operation, compared to some, but any FDD is going to create a fair amount of noise. Lastly, it will not read a disk without "System Volume Information" on it. I loaded several disks with issue but found a couple of disks that I likely did not format correctly. Those disks could be read by my other drive, so I dumped the data to my hard drive, reformatted then copied the data back. Everything was fine after that and the disks then had the System Volume Information on it. I have tested these with both DOS and Windows 10 operating systems.

Works as expected.
Tested with 2 Game Boy Pockets. Worked as intended. Cables fit snug and appear to be durable.
