Windows Phones aren't what they used to be. And that's not a good thing.
The HTC HD 7 is an interesting phone. I was a long time user of Windows Phones and was expecting a more advanced version of the same. It turns out for reasons that don't make any damn sense whatsoever Microsoft decided to follow the Apple idea of phone OS. Windows Phone 7 is completely locked up and not able to be modified or customized in any way. Windows Mobile used to be an outstanding system that you could do just about anything with, now it's a locked up system that won't let you do anything you want.
If you are an advanced phone user, go with Android. If you like locked up, simple to use proprietary systems, go with Apple.
This phone falls right in the middle, it's nice and moderately simple to use (if you are familiar with smart phones), but the lack of access to the system limits its use to power users.

Amazing. Will get a few more next year.
This drive is amazing, blazing fast, quick install. Was able to transfer my windows install over within minutes. Highly recommended.

Not using for the intended purpose
I bought these for a cheap alternative to loud, obnoxious car security systems. So far the main problem I have had is the range of the devices. Where I'm currently parked they can't quite reach my wifi network. I'm going to be adding a booster near my front door and hopefully that will make it so it can reach. I wish the app had settings so I could turn alerts on during certain hours and off during others, but for what it is, it works fine. Very nice, small devices that work exactly as advertised.
