Perfect direct replacement
My heating has been controlled by the earlier model for 28 years, and I have no reason to doubt the quality of this new one.

A good buy.
A bit early to tell, but the flag stood up to 40mph gusts and is still in good condition, with no fraying. Superior to most flags.

Magic from the Two Ronnies
Both films on this DVD are good, but 'By The Sea' is classic humour from end to end. Don't start looking for political correctness. Girls look and act like real girls, and men just look. The film was made in Swanage, and nearby Studland Bay, both of which are my favourite seaside resorts, so that added to the appeal.
The storyline is just a family holiday by the sea. It is not a silent movie, but there is no dialogue. Its visual comedy beats everything available today.
The only downside to the DVD is that it has to be played on a region-free player. It is region 4 (Australia) and will not play on our region 2 machines. This is weird as the films were made by the BBC, but are not available over here.
