Does a good job, not too heavy.
My previous hedge trimmer had the same size blade and gave very acceptable service over 8 years. It was also Black and Decker so that is why I chose that brand again.
This one is lighter in weight and the blade copes with thicker stems and the motor is more powerful.
Loss of marks is due to the poor design of the double safety switches. These both have to be pushed down to the hilt for the trimmer to operate and the smallest leaf can stop them operating all together. I suggest they return to their old design. The other backward step with health and safety compared with the old model is that, when using at eye level, the very powerful motor cooling fan blasts a shrapnel of fine clippings right in your eyes, so you need much more protection than a pair of specs.
The trimmer copes easily with fine hedges and heavier Leylandi and tough holly and even some Hawthorne. At no time did it jam.
The blade protector used for storage is made of tough rigid black plastic but is quite fiddly to get back on. The cable is of generous length and stores well enough in the handle.
I would consider it one of the best buys for the money to cope with a variety of medium to heavy hedges. If it remains durable over some years, I will choose B&D again.

Best value and battery life but fragile.
This seems the best bet for an inexpensive shaver but you will need a spare, as it takes 16 hours to charge and you cannot shave while charging. However the charge will last for two weeks.
The foils last about 18 months to two years with care but are so expensive that you can buy another shaver from some sellers for little more, if you dont mind a damaged box. The trimmer works well but is very fragile, which can also terminate the life of the shaver.
Treat this shaver as a disposable shaver. I am on my fourth one but still think they are best value for money and give a reasonable shave and are also compact for travelling but need packing well.

Much better than a dribbly bottle.
1 of 1 found this helpful Nice safe container and looks attractive and durable. Top is rather a difficult fit but it does not often need removing.
Edited now that it has been in use for a while: It will not provide a fine drizzle but can be helped by only filling no more than half full. Using it when almost full is a no go except for large quantities required when cooking.
