Good product, holds in place well !
2 of 2 found this helpful I reiterate what people have said about not opening it up too far, measure carefully, it will not retract if opened too far. I measured it bang on, placed it at an angle on the wall and the 3cm spring mechanism allowance meant it can be pushed upwards into place firmly.
One drawback, the pole was left with long scratches after it was pulled out to the correct length, I’m wondering if that will rust in time, and that’s exactly why I took the old pole down. So I may not have gained anything, but for now it looks really good, and works well.
So I’m pleased and would recommend this product. For the price and for a quick and easy fix without needing to drill holes... it’s great !

Don’t work in solar lights
These batteries do not work in solar lights. I have used them in 4 different sets of lights. They worked the first night but seem unable to recharge with the solar panels.

Cheap and nasty
These lamps are lightweight, the chrome lookalike finish is pock marked and far from smooth, the shades are flimsy and easily creased. This is a lightweight touch lamp that will very easily know over if you touched it a little too hard which you could easily do when it’s dark and you’re half asleep. Very poor quality and shocking value for money. Avoid.
