Good representation of its subject, but a bit fiddly
This is definitely a Shar, and a pre-Falklands War FRS.1 in the classic RN paint scheme, so it certainly lives up to its billing. It's accurate enough in terms of shape, the scale dimensions look close enough, and it generally looks the business. If it has a flaw, it's one common to this series of models, and that is that all the extra bits -- antennae, missiles and, IIRC for this one, the tailplanes -- are all press-fit, and they don't locate all that well, or terribly securely. A bit of glue -- polystyrene cement or super-glue, according to the materials involved -- can deal with that, but the smallest parts (mostly antennae of various types) are awkward to get into place, and sometimes the locating holes/slots don't seem to be deep enough. Perseverance will lead to success and a good-looking model, but this is not a 20-second snap-together build, so be prepared.

Sizeable kit of a large aircraft
A typical Trumpeter kit of a rare but interesting subject. The kit looks to be accurate, and the size of the model is impressive. I might wish that there was the option to build it in flight, but there is no crew figures and some surgery is likely to be needed to close the undercarriage doors, but that is all too common these days. Other than that, I expect it to make into a very good, and rather large, model and am looking forward to building it.

Not your average Lockheed Lightning
Very nice model of an unusual variant of this aircraft (the RAAF only ever had 3 of them). Well up to the usual Corgi Aviation Archive standard in terms of detail, and fits nicely into my collection of RAAF SWPA types. Very well packaged, to the point that getting it out of the box requires care. Main airframe is metal, with a number of small plastic attachments (antennae, control surface balances, etc.) in plastic; the latter may be fragile since they are quite tiny and stick out, but otherwise the model is quite sturdy.
