Right Driver Side Door Wing Mirror Indicator LED Lens For VW Polo MK4 FL 05-10

ok - not OEM quality not OEM brightness

Obviously not being OEM it was not going to be of OEM quality. I was ok with that as overall it looked ok. The poorest finish at the bottom of the lens which can't be seen anyway. It worked ok - however the indicator flash was no were near as bright or "see-able" as OEM and in my case I ended up salvaging the inerds of the OEM I was replacing (ie. the mini circuit board and it's enclosure) and using that within this lens to try and get OEM brigthness (still not quite as bright as OEM). I also noticed this lens was missing a very small lens enhancer (think of a light house lens) and I think this is one of the reasons this lens didn't shine as bright as OEM. Furthermore the circuitry had 2 pins (whereas OEM has 3 pins). I don't think this mattered however pushing the electric mirror wire male connector into the female of this product needed some manipulation to get the pins to align. I also think the OEM has an extra diode in the circuit ..which would be a reason that it shines brighter, I was happy to mix and match new product with OEM on this occasion as was for a 2nd hand cheap car - but it was a faff. I'd probably buy OEM next time but of course you'll pay up 4 x the cost of this lens...probably worth it for the time it took me to finish the job. To finish off - yes the product works ok and fits - and is probably just about adequate brightness .? ..- but I'm fussy.. but hope this helps you make a decision on purchasing the product.
