Heartbreaking revelations of the impact of an horrifically, brutal war for national survival. A collection of personal female experiences of every sickening aspect of the conflict on the eastern front and the front-line roles played by women, brilliantly and simply, but memorably told. This should be compulsory reading for everyone, especially those who consider that conflict is an acceptable means of resolving issues.
