Delta Faucet Cartridge
The cartridge was exactly as described. New in a sealed package and worked perfectly.

Works great with an outdoor boiler
I use an outdoor wood/coal fired boiler for heat. I inserted this heated exchanger before a 6 gallon water heater to preheat the water. I am happy to report that I can now take long showers without the water heater ever turning on. It is able to heat 50°F spring water to 115°F at a standard shower flow with the boiler at only 120°F. I set it up in a cross flow configuration for maximum temperature rise.
