A Dark Fantasy Tale for all ages
1 of 1 found this helpful After watching Hellraiser, I was compelled to read the books of Clive Barker. I discovered this book during my teens and it changed me and the way I thought about fantasy. Like the stories of C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Roald Dahl, Stephen King, and J.K. Rowling, The Thief of Always is a wild, dark, and childlike adventure that shows you what you should do to spend the time wisely because once the time as a child has gone, it can never be relived again. It's a fable, a morality tale, an adventure, horror, and fantasy novel for children and adults who are children at heart. It's a great book; Clive Barker's prose is engaging and his illustrations are a feast for the eyes of anyone who loves his artwork. I highly recommend it. It's worth the read, especially for children and teens who love fantasy novels.
